Ludhiana, August 10, 2017 (Manisha Sharma): Sat Paul Mittal School, a leading school in Punjab which has over the years evolved into an institution of academic excellence today announced the start of the United Nations Replica 2017 Punjab Edition in its premises. This first of its kind initiative by the Sat Paul Mittal School is to provide a global platform for students to promote understanding of diplomacy and enhance debating skills among them.
The two day program (August 10 -12) was inaugurated by Dominic Asquith, British High Commissioner to India in the presence of Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Governing Council, Sat Paul Mittal School, the chief mentor of UN Replica Punjab 2017 - T.P. Sreenivasan IFS (Former Ambassador of India to the UN and Governor for India of the IAEA) besides several other dignitaries.
The United Nations Replica 2017 Punjab Edition will witness the mock formation of two committees – General Assembly and the Security Council, where topics on the situation in the Middle East and West Asia will be discussed and debated. Around 200 delegates from across India are participating in the Program.
